Profile

Financial expertise built for the courtroom.

Matthew Kennedy graduated from college in 2008 and has spent his entire professional career as a forensic CPA and economic damages expert. His work focuses on the analysis and quantification of complex financial losses, with particular experience in fidelity claims, third-party liability matters, construction and builders' risk claims, and business interruption losses.

In commercial litigation, he works for both plaintiffs and defendants in matters involving construction cost overruns, lost profits, unjust enrichment, increased costs, and related economic damages. He has worked on court-supervised and government-administered claims programs, including the Deepwater Horizon Economic and Property Damages Settlement, where he served on the appeals team and worked with the third-party administrator. He has also performed lost-profit analyses for FEMA's Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Claims Office.
