M Kennedy Forensic Experts (MKFE) is a boutique forensic accounting and economic damages firm focused on complex commercial litigation, arbitration, and insurance disputes. The firm supports expert testimony in state and federal courts and works closely with trial counsel on high-stakes financial matters.
The Senior Forensic Accountant role involves leading forensic and economic damages engagements, supervising staff, and supporting expert witness activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead forensic accounting and economic damages analyses for commercial litigation and insurance disputes
- Prepare lost profits, business interruption, extra expense, and financial reconstruction analyses
- Manage engagements from intake through expert support, including timelines and deliverables
- Supervise and review staff workpapers and financial models
- Support expert reports, rebuttals, depositions, and trial preparation
- Interface directly with attorneys, adjusters, and clients
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA candidate required
- 7+ years of forensic accounting or litigation support experience
- Experience preparing or materially supporting expert reports
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement analysis
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CFE, CFF, CVA, or progress toward advanced credentials
- Experience in state and federal court matters
- Exposure to insurance claims, construction, real estate, or complex commercial disputes
- Deposition or trial support experience
